Reading 1\u00a0HOS 10:1-3, 7-8, 12<\/a><\/h4>\n
Israel is a luxuriant vine
\nwhose fruit matches its growth.
\nThe more abundant his fruit,
\nthe more altars he built;
\nThe more productive his land,
\nthe more sacred pillars he set up.
\nTheir heart is false,
\nnow they pay for their guilt;
\nGod shall break down their altars
\nand destroy their sacred pillars.
\nIf they would say,
\n\u201cWe have no king\u201d\u2014
\nSince they do not fear the LORD,
\nwhat can the king do for them?<\/div>\n
The king of Samaria shall disappear,
\nlike foam upon the waters.
\nThe high places of Aven shall be destroyed,
\nthe sin of Israel;
\nthorns and thistles shall overgrow their altars.
\nThen they shall cry out to the mountains, \u201cCover us!\u201d
\nand to the hills, \u201cFall upon us!\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cSow for yourselves justice,
\nreap the fruit of piety;
\nbreak up for yourselves a new field,
\nfor it is time to seek the LORD,

Jesus summoned his Twelve disciples
\nand gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out
\nand to cure every disease and every illness.
\nThe names of the Twelve Apostles are these:
\nfirst, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew;
\nJames, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
\nPhilip and Bartholomew,
\nThomas and Matthew the tax collector;
\nJames, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus;
\nSimon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot
\nwho betrayed Jesus.<\/p>\n

Jesus sent out these Twelve after instructing them thus,
\n\u201cDo not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town.
\nGo rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
\nAs you go, make this proclamation: \u2018The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
