This is an introductory overview of the teaching of Pope Francis’ Evangelii Gaudium, released on November 26, 2013. The lecture was 70 minutes and there was about a half-hour of questions. It involves background on the apostolic exhortation, a half-hour overview of the exhortation’s introduction and five-main chapters, and then a half-hour exploring some of the exhortation’s themes.
