The outline of the talk was:
- Eucharistic Lessons taught by Fr. Jean Marc Fournier, Chaplain of the Paris Fire Brigade, during the fire at Notre Dame in Paris
- Eucharistic lessons from the Easter Sunday Sri Lanka massacre of Christians
- Courageous love for Jesus in the Eucharist shown throughout history: Abitene in 304, St. Tarcisius in 258, Archbishop Oscar Romero in 1980, St. Nicholas Pieck and comparisons in 1572, the Catholics in southern Sunday in the 1990s, Catholics in Nigeria, China and other places today.
- The Eucharist is the food of martyrs, because we enter into communion with Jesus’ courageous loving self-sacrifice, giving his body, pouring out his blood, and telling us, “Do this in memory of me.” Letting our lives become living commentaries on the words of consecration is the only worship of God that makes sense.
- Five practical applications: Sunday Mass, Daily Mass, the Sacrament of Confession, Eucharistic Adoration and Spiritual Communions.
- Archbishop Michel Aupetit’s Easter Sunday homily on Father Fournier’s manly Eucharistic priorities.
