The Significance of Rome, the See of Peter, in the Early Church, February 11, 2000

Fr. Roger J. Landry
Pontifical North American College, Vatican City
Corso Auditorium
February 11, 2000

This lecture was given to the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops who had come to Rome to get to know the roots of Christianity in the city. They had requested Cardinal James Stafford to address them, but he was unable. He asked then Monsignor Timothy Dolan, Rector of the North American College and a Church historian, to give them a lecture on the Christian roots of Rome. He likewise was unable and so he asked me. This is the lecture given.
