This is a questionnaire I give to couples prior to marriage preparation, to help me to get to know them so that I might meet them where they’re at in the understanding and practice of the faith and lead them to where the Church hopes they’ll be on their wedding day. Most couples take it very seriously and it helps them to grasp that marriage preparation isn’t a hoop to jump through. It also allows me to identify any issues that could invalidate a marriage so that they can be addressed and gives me a lot of material with which I can personalize their wedding homily.
